What do my HOA dues pay for?
HOA dues primarily go towards landscaping the common areas, HOA events, and deed
restriction enforcement.

3. Why is it necessary to maintain my yard?
Not only do maintained yards improve the aesthetic appearance of the neighborhood, but
maintained yards are necessary to improve property values and health/safety issues.
4. Is there a limit on the number of individuals that can occupy a household?
There is a city ordinance that restricts the number of unrelated individuals that can occupy a
home to no more than four. If you suspect that a household has more unrelated residents than the
City allows, contact College Station Code Enforcement.
5. Are there restrictions regarding parking in driveways and neighborhood streets?
The streets are city property which limits what homeowners can do about problem
parking. However, any vehicle that has been abandoned or junked is subject to removal at the
owner’s expense. Unfortunately, the process favors the owners of the abandoned vehicles and
removing a vehicle is challenging.
6. Are there restrictions regarding swimming pools?
All swimming pools must be properly maintained and clean. A dirty pool is a major health
hazard. If you suspect someone has a pool that is unsanitary, please contact the WCHOA. We’ll
have the city inspect the pool and bring the owners to court if the pool isn’t cleaned up.
7. How can I contact the city of College Station regarding city codes, ordinances and
policies?

or make other modifications which alters the improved property?
First you will want to check the covenants & restrictions for both the WCHOA and city. Major
modifications, changes and/or additions should be submitted to info@williamscourt.net for
approval and/or recommendations. Include necessary diagrams, drawings, rationale, builder and
appropriate information.

9. What is the policy on sheds?
Sheds and outbuildings must be approved prior to installation. Additionally, any structures with
floor space greater than 120 square feet require a permit from the City of College Station, in
addition to requiring architectural committee approval. Contact info@williamscourt.net for
approval and/or recommendations. Include necessary diagrams, drawings, rationale, builder and
appropriate information.
10. How can I stop those driving at dangerous speeds down my street or creating excess
noise?
Call College Station Police department and report the violator. Try to provide as much
information as possible, so that the Police might be able to track down the speeder. The more
reports phoned, the greater is the opportunity to have the Police monitor the street. Speed bumps,
etc. require the residents living on the street to approve such devices.
11. Who do I contact about a noise or animal complaint?
Noise complaints should be directed to the Police departments Non Emergency number.
